The Familiar Obscured

Almost every day, the familiar begins to shift — subtly, yet irrevocably. My surroundings appear almost frozen, yet beneath the surface something is changing.

I perceive my environment through a distance that resists clarity, where what is seen remains open and unstable, alongside a growing concern for where these shifts are leading — carrying a fear that resists definition, yet a persistent urge to continue. This is intensified by the experience of losing consciousness during a moment of profound physical vulnerability. This work gives form to an internal state in which certainty dissolves.

Rather than offering answers, the images sustain uncertainty. Through multi-layered photographs with hand-made monoprints, I respond physically to what is unfolding, negotiating how far instability can enter the surface.
